Ingersoll Rand Air Hammer 114GQC Review

For moderate use in a shop, this air chisel is sufficient. It's not spectacular with loads of extra impact force, but it will tackle most jobs. Plus it is very quiet for an air hammer. I dont like excessively loud tools, and this one doesn't bother me at all using it. I paid $50 for it about 2 years ago, and still use it today. I've kept it oiled and not abused it, and it is till working as new.

My only real complaint about this air hammer is that your chisels will fall out randomly if you are not applying even pressure to your impact point. Or say if the bit slips off the impact boint, it might just fall to the floor. That's pretty annoying. The chisel always feels so loose inside the hammer, like you have it inserted incorrectly, but that is just the design of the quick release chuck I suppose.

Regardless of how it feels, or the fact that the chisels randomly fall out, the price is great, I have had zero reliability issues, and it is very quiet. Ingersoll Rand Air Hammer 114GQC
